Sen. Paul (R-KY) & Rep. Osacio-Cortez (D-NY) Among a Dozen Republicans & Democrats To Write Thank-You Letter to POTUS Donald J. Trump for Drawing Down American Troops in Syria

From Reason

"We write in bipartisan support of your announcement of the start of a 'deliberate withdrawal' of U.S. military forces in Syria, and we welcome the completion of this process within the next six months," the letter reads. "It is long past time to rein in the use of force that goes beyond congressional authorization, and we look forward to pursuing this longstanding bipartisan objective with your Administration."

Andy Welch, GOP State Rep, Sponsors Bill to Regulate Journalism; Announces Resignation
Long considered one of the worst of the worst of the Gold Dome Influence Peddlers, Henry Co. resident & Atty-at-Law Welch's district represents a small portion of Newton Co. And while he was the bill's main sponsor, and presumably its author, five other locusts critters "legislators" were dumb enough to attach their names to it as well. Welch later announced his resignation...

Newton Co. Sheriff - Ezell Brown
Sheriff Ezell Brown Gives Infomercial "Budget Presentation" to Newton Co. BOC After Pulling No-Show Last Week

Report on Sheriff Brown's Budget Presentation April 2, 2019:As expected, the courtroom was filled with pastors, activists and employees in support of the Sheriff. Only a very few conservative budget advocates were present. When the Sheriff took the podium, he stated that the reason he did not appear last week was confidential, or "top secret "(yes he said that). Then, he went on at great length to defend himself and to decry the social media criticism he endured for not showing up.The Sheriff spent about 45 minutes of his time telling once again about his awards, community services and public relations achievements, while simultaneously claiming that he does not brag and is a team player.
Believe it or not, he actually played video for the BOC from complimentary TV coverage (Channel 46 report about the Surprise Squad). His presentation was videotaped by his office, apparently for later use.
Detailed budget numbers were not discussed but there was a handout of the Sheriff's current FY 2020 request. As expected, the Sheriff wants to raise deputy pay to $19 per hour and add 8 more new positions

8 new positions? That seems odd since the NCSO is currently pushing 40 vacancies...
