[TPC] - A Guest Piece by Corry Oakes: Taking a Look at the Big Picture & Asking Some Hard Questions

Is actual growth more than it was in say 1990? As the debt burden increases GDP growth goes down, not up.

Single-family-home sales have fallen since DJT took office and are now back to a level set in 1991…

The trade deficit was $531 billion in the last Obama year. Now it is almost $900 billion. Manufacturing is still below its level 12 years ago.

Will the feds pay the debt with increased tax revenues? Or will Congress just spend them?

This is not Trump's fault nor is it Obama's.

Everyone thinks his/her DC representatives, in the house or senate, are ok. It's the other crowd. Here's a note: with a small exception, it's all of them.

At lunch today I asked the young waiter if he could name three amendments. His answer was freedom of speech, the right to housing, and health care. I started to not leave a tip and tell him to buy a copy of the Constitution.

Are we doomed? When, if, America fails, where is another to replace it?
