Kayla's Corner
Keeping an Eye on Covington & Beyond

Welcome back to The Corner, y'all!

Johnny's Pizza is celebrating their 6 month anniversary of being under new ownership with a ribbon cutting ceremony this Thursday August the 9th at 4PM at their location of 10176 Carlin Drive, Covington, GA 30014.

Johnny's Pizza Covington

Johnny's Pizza is best known for their amazing selection of craft beer & their oh-so-yummy pizza! They do Trivia on Wednesday nights at 7PM where they feature 79 cent wings! Don't forget about the $1 PBR's on Mondays, and they have a daily lunch special everyday from 11 to 3PM.

This Friday, the 10th, one of the best bands in Georgia, The Bitteroots, will be playing on the Covington Square as part of Covington's Summer Nights Concert on the Square. The music will start up at 7PM & go until 9. You might want to get there early as the word is there is going to be a HUGE crowd for this one! TPC Editor MB McCart is a big fan of these guys & will be doing a "Music Minute" later in the week on this amazing group.

The Bitteroots

In my very first column here at The Corner, I talked about the Newton County GA Rocks Facebook group that is a place for people to share these wonderful rocks that have been making appearances everywhere! All over Covington, Conyers & the surrounding areas & even as far away as The Bahamas!

Newton County Rocks!

That'll do it for this week, guys. I'll see you all next time!
