Kayla's Corner, Week of August 4th: Sweet Harmony in Rutledge; Shane Clark in Porterdale; Big Event at Rustic Flair!

Kayla's Corner
Keeping an Eye on Covington & Beyond

Welcome back to the corner, guys, and Happy 1st of the Month to everyone!

Well, we ended July w/ a bang & I thoroughly enjoyed all the events I attended including last weekend's festivities! No Limitz rocked out 5 O'Clock Sports Bar & Grill while I chowed down on some of the best wings in town! Thanks, Greg Rodgers, will definitely be back soon!

I also stopped by the Magnolia Village Market & was not at all disappointed! Lots of local vendors, good food, a nice-size crowd & live music. I was even lucky enough to bump into a few friends. And of course I ended up buying something!

I just love this ring!
As well you know, the fun never ends here at The Corner & we've got more up & coming special events this weekend!

Starting off Friday at 7PM in downtown Rutledge, my friend & TPC Editor Marshall "M.B." McCart & the fabulous band he plays with - Sweet Harmony - will be playing a show as part of the Rudtledge, GA Downtown Summer Concert Series. Bring friends, family, chairs, a cooler & a picnic whilst listening to some good ole acoustic Americana music!

Shane Clark, another talented artist & personal friend, will be singing at Porterdale Bar & Grill Friday, August the 3rd, at 9PM. In addition to listening to Shane do his thing, this is actually an Open Mic, so you can join on stage & show everyone what ya got!  Must be 21 to enter.

Shane Clark - A cool dude & a great musician

And last, but certainly not least, Marci over at Rustic Flair is having an Open House & Back-to-School sale this Saturday, August 4th, from 10AM to 5PM. As many of you know, Rustic is easily one of the best shops we have in town. Cute clothes, dream catchers, jewelry & more. This is a don'- miss- event!

Okay, y'all, until next week!
