Kayla's Corner: Christmas Edition!

Hi Everyone and welcome back to Kayla's Corner! This week's digital column is Christmas packed and full of holiday cheer! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving as I'm sure we all have something to be thankful for.

Before we get started with our holiday festivities, I'd like to congratulate Covington's Osake for getting a 98 on their health score! A really great place to stop by for Sushi and Hibachi in beautiful C-town! Way to go guys!

Ok y'all, let's light it up! Starting off, Covington's Chimney Park is now lit up with lights thanks to all of their Volunteers hard work and excellent effort  . This park is located at 8201 Hazel Brand Rd. (Behind the Covington Health Dept.) The park will stay lit till the end of December so make sure to check it out while you have time! Also donations are encouraged in helping make this magical Wonderland a possibility for our community! Thanks to everyone that has already donated and if you'd like to  donate please make sure to message chimney Park Facebook page to find out how!

Would you like to see Santa? How about listen to some music or take a fun hayride? Well if you would like to do any of those, you've got to come out to the Mansfield Christmas celebration happening on the Mansfield Square! December 12th 2020 from 4 to 7 p.m. get a chance to meet some of the locals, enjoy some sweets, and bring an ornament to put on the tree. Come check out the little Town's newly remodeled Square and enjoy the festivities.

Everyone get excited for this one! Ice days has made its way to Covington's Legion Field and has set up a magnificent temporary ice skating rink for everyone to come enjoy this holiday season. The City of Covington has also provided beautiful Christmas lights along the Newton County trails leading the way to the ice skating rink  that you must see! Make sure to be safe and practice social distancing this holiday and spread good cheer y'all! Thank you for reading and Merry Christmas ðŸŽ„
