Bess's Blurbs, 9 June 2020: "Visiting" the Doc in the Age of Coronavirus

Sometimes there are things that just don’t fit into a news review or memories, so I’ve started my “Blurbs.”  The random things that race through my mind, but need -somewhere- to go.  This is also known as “my dogs’ are sick of listening to me.”

We had our physicals a couple weeks ago and I have to say Covid-19 has some benefits!

Our physicals were online.  I LIKE this!  No poking, no prodding; I had my weight, height and temperature ready at hand, along with all my meds (my husband wasn’t quite so prepared).  Talked with our doc online.  There were a couple of glitches, but compared to an actual office visit I’d take this every time.  Bet we don’t get a discount though.

The blood work was ordered the very next day.  This was -sweet-, coming from a person that loves needles, unless they’re stuck into me (I’m a quilter!)!

Temp checked at the door.  One person at a time.  The “blood sucker” chair right next to the door.   Sit down, get stuck and leave.  In and out.  No waiting!

I really hope we all learn something from this particular pandemic.  I’m getting spoiled.  Next time I have to wait to see my doctor I’ll bill him for -my- time!
